The Zacuto Baseplate for Sony F5/F55 is a rod support system designed specifically for the Sony PMW-F5 & PMW-F55 cameras. It provides the correct distance between the 15mm rods and the center of the lens allowing you to properly mate standard, rod-mounted matteboxes and follow focus units and helps prevent misalignment that can cause stress or binding to your lenses.

The baseplate features 1/4" and 3/8" camera tie-down screws that float in a channel until tightened to the camera allowing you to adjust the balance of the Sony F5/F55 on the baseplate. The two included 15mm support rods feature threaded ends to accommodate rod extensions. Four, ratcheting locking levers hold the rods securely in place, and because the levers are racheted, you can lock or loosen the support rods even when there is little room to move the levers. The plate also features both 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes for mounting to a tripod. The threaded holes are part of a plate that slides forward or backward to help balance the camera on the tripod head.
